ROY'S HOTRODS

Roy's  Hot Rods is located in the Upper Fraser Valley in B.C. Canada in the town of Chilliwack.   Roy has been around cars for most of his life and worked mostly on his own cars and  gave aid to a few friends when required.  Roy is actually a licensed plumber,  but about fifteen years ago decided to forgo his pluming career and do hotrods and restorations full time, because of his love affair with cool cars.  Roy runs a small shop which is how he likes it and works on the maximum of two cars at a time.  Without being to bias,  we would venture to say Roy is about as good as they come in this profession.  We have seen many shops work over the past ten years, and quite frankly some of the workmanship we observed sucked,  but there are still quality craftsman out there such as Roy who are methodical,  patient and extremely fussy.  For some people, fussy means money and usually to much money and they invariably end up going to one of the shops that do cheap low grade work.   Eventually Roy does see them come back to him to fix the mess that was done to their cars, and it now costs them away more than if they just had a quality shop do it to begin with.  If you can't do your own work,  it makes sense to acquire someone that can do it for you and do it right and doing it right to begin costs money.  Roy's shop rate currently is $ 30.00 an hour plus materials.... A bargain in today's climate we think.
