| IT'S
2003 AND A NEW YEAR OF CRUISIN' |
I
was recently having lunch with some of
my cronies and was asked what was new on
this site. I told him there was
something new everyday, he just had to
go explore. I am sure he, like most of
us, does not have a ton of time to
cruise this site, so finding all the new
stuff can be somewhat crusing intensive
because the size of this site. We feel
an often overlooked section of this site
is the links to all the clubs and their
respective web sites. Many of these
clubs have very cool sites, with
innovative ideas and most have lots of
way cool pictures of their cars and the
events and shows they sponsor. We find
it interesting to visit these sites as
well as other sites other than just
those in North American to see what the
rest of the world is doing in our hobby.
Some of the sites, you will not be able
to read because of the language
differences, but you can usually
navigate around on them and most are
well worth your time. As usual, we are
constantly receiving additio ns to our
viewers ride section so you may want to
check that section out and there is now
a new 'Featured Ride'. We are currently
working on putting some new site contest
together for the upcoming season so stay
tune for that ... we will let you know.
I have talked to you about Robo Form
before and we have a new link on our
main pages for you to download it
directly from us ... Beats Gator hands
down, does not contain Spyware and does
not annoy you with pop-up ads.
Price=FREE ..... Of course you now all
have virus protection so your not
spreading it to all your friends RIGHT?
IF you do not have protection, DO NOT
OPEN EMAIL ATTACHMENTS from sources you
do not know. You can view the email, not
the attachment !!! .....Some new links
over on the right hand column of this
page for you to explore. New images in
the 'Projects' section of the sight and
a new 'Featured Ride' is in place.
Additions to the 'Viewers Rides' section
as well. Enjoy checking out the new
stuff and get ready, spring and cruisn'
will be here before you know it !

I
hope you all had a enjoyable Christmas
and got some cool gifts.... I did. In
our extended family, we draw names and
buy one gift for the person whose name
you receive. Works well for us unless
you are the poor slob that gets my name.
I am apparently the hardest person known
to mankind to buy for and I will agree
with that. I basically have all the toys
I need and can afford at this stage of
my life and anything that would tickle
my fancy now would cost more that all of
my relatives and extended family
combined could afford. I did however,
let my Son in Law (who got my name) off
easy this year and actually told him
what he could get me. As well as old
cars etc. I also have a passion for
aviation, and have flown both
conventional aircraft and ultralights in
the past. So when Microsoft brought out
"Flight Combat Simulator 3" at
Christmas I was definatly interested,
especially because of the legendary
World War II aircraft. So to make a long
story short, after convin cing my wife a
new computor was require (it was) and
shelling out about $800.00 out of my
pocket I am now able to run this
simulator and it is terrific .. Thanks
Justin. It is a good thing I can build
my own computers or the price could have
been considerably higher. New mother
board $ 150.00, New Main Processor AMD
1.4 GHz $ 150.00, New Tower Case and
Power Supply $40.00, new heat sink and
fans for case and main processor $50.00,
new video graphics card $ 120.00 and of
course one cannot do an adequate job of
flying a World War II aircraft on a
small monitor ... new 19" flat
screen monitor $ 300.00 - Yes Virginia,
there really is a Santa Claus, and now
he can surf the net and fly his
simulator at the speed of light.
